During the last decade, Holon has positioned itself as a cultural center in the state of Israel with an emphasis on children and families.
The vast variety of culture events and activities that take place on a consecutive basis is based on the educational concept that by being exposed to all these activities, we shall be able to create a well educated high quality and curious young generation
These culture events are expressed, amongst others, in activities that became highly known through the state of Israel:
Annual Events:
"Melodies of Childhood"
Festival is focused on classic music and performing arts.
The International Puppetry Festival
presents puppetries and puppet shows from Israel and abroad
The International "Grand Prix" Contest
hosts young rhythmic gymnasts from Israel and Europe.
Thousands of children and their families
participate in"Holon Walk & Gog", marching through the main streets and sights of the city
"Max & Moritz" - An opera for children
Special production by the Mediatheque theater for youngsters based on the famous story by Wilhelm Bocsh. It was the first time that an opera for children was produced in Israel.
Year-round Acivities:
8 community centers and 7 youth centers
offer hundreds of quality activities in arts, music, crafts, dance, enrichment, science and sports.
Drama studio for children in
Holon Theater teaching all the elements of creating a performance including an original production.
"At Eye Level"
A unique arts, crafts, drama and music center for children ages 3 and higher.
Figure Skating Club
has hundreds participants starting the age of 4. The club has a world reputation and won several national and international awards.
"Yamit Aqua Center"
for children and families includes outdoor and indoor pools, sport facilities and a special extreme water slides.
