Class libraries were dedicated at the Yachad Elementary School in Holon, as part of a program for furthering language, reading and writing skills
תיאור
New class libraries were dedicated last weekend for grades 1 and 2 at the Yachad Elementary School in Holon, at an exciting event held with students, parents, and teachers.

Establishing the libraries is part of a program developed by the Israel Center for Educational Innovation, in cooperation with the Municipality of Holon and the Ministry of Education, which began operating at the school this year. The program focuses on furthering the professional knowledge of the teaching staffs, in order to enable them to provide literacy skills, and to foster reading, writing, and speech. As part of this learning system, some 500 books have been brought to each class, in order to encourage the students to read every day, and to be exposed to linguistic, emotional and experiential richness. In this way, the program expects to contribute to significant progress in the language skills achievements of all of the class' students.

At the launch event, the teachers Aviva Nir and Etti Rubin, along with the students, presented the school's unique learning routine, and the principal, Keren Epstein, noted that "the school sees great importance in furthering its students' language, reading and writing skills. This is a wonderful beginning for the school year, and we are undoubtedly on the right path." The parents expressed satisfaction with and appreciation for, the program and, of course, for their charming children…
