Holon International Women’s Festival

The Holon Municipality and Holon Theater founded and produced the first Women’s Festival in 1996. The festival displays a wide range of female endeavors and gives expression to women’s creativity in every facet of life, from art through economics and social issues to politics.

Since its inception, the festival has invested a great deal of thought on its long-term development to ensure that a wide range of content, representing the female world and its unique artistic expression, is brought to light.

The festival seeks to give a platform to the achievements of renowned female cultural, artistic, social, and business leaders from all walks of life. As part of its natural development, the festival has become an international one, and famous, outstanding women have honored the festival with their presence.

The festival includes more than 25 performances, workshops, discussions and special events. During the festival, Holon’s galleries host various installations, presentations and exhibitions that showcase additional aspects of female endeavor in the arts.
