The Adventures of King Ferdinand Pedahzur Story Garden was inspired by the marvelous book by Efraim Sidon, illustrated by Yossi Abulafia. This rhyming tale depicts the adventures of the beloved King Ferdinand, who wanted to prove that the love bestowed upon him by his citizens would not be lessened by a series of improbable and completely inconsiderate rules and directives.
The garden includes three bronze statues shaped as the king and his citizens, designed by artist Yitzhak Mevorach. Landscape architect: Carmela Gabriel.
The establishment of the Adventures of King Ferdinand Pedahzur Story Garden also involved overall remodeling and repair works, resulting in new play facilities, new paves and light fixtures, and a new fitness area.
