March 4-7, 2020
Every year, to mark International Women’s Day, which this year falls on March 8, the Holon Theater holds a Women’s Festival for the Performing Arts.
This year, the Festival will take place on March 4-7, with a particularly rich program of some 15 performances and original productions, created and presented mainly by women, in a wide variety of artistic fields, including music, dance, theater, and stand-up comedy.
Over the years, the Women’s Festival has provided a platform for Israel’s top female performers, including: Miri Mesika, Nasrin Kadri, Riki Gal, Hana Laszlo, Lea Kenig, Gila Almagor, Miki Kam, Tiki Dayan, Efrat Gosh and many more, and has also hosted international performers such as Sharon Stone, Sandra Bernhard, and singers Marianne Faithfull and Alison Moyet.
The Festival, an initiative of the Holon Municipality, is managed and produced by the Holon Theater.
In addition, on March 4, the Holon Theater will open the exhibition “Ticket to the Moon: Shlomit Cohen Assif,” a new exhibition of the Israeli Design Season in Holon, which will shine a spotlight on the poet and raconteur Shlomit Cohen Assif, with songs, illustrations, and video clips from all the periods of her career.
