Preparing to continue remote learning in the coming school year: following the efforts of Holon Mayor Moti Sasson to raise money to purchase computers for remote learning for the city’s children, the Municipality is currently distributing 160 new laptop computers to the children of Holon to help them with their studies. The donors are Danny Michael, a former Holon resident currently living in the United States, and his wife Martha. The couple designated the sum of 100,000 dollars to the city’s children in need of this assistance, based on the records of the city’s Education Administration and the Welfare & Social Services Administration. The donation was obtained with the help of the family’s representative in Israel, Gideon Galina, who purchased the computers in Israel and gave them to the Municipality to be distributed based on its recommendations.
Danny Michael was born and raised in Holon, and while he has not lived in the city for many years he still has a warm corner in his heart for the city and for the State of Israel and was therefore more than happy to respond to Mayor Sasson’s request for a donation. Danny Michael also donates generously to the welfare of IDF soldiers. In his eyes, one of the most important ways to narrow societal gaps is to provide a broad education to children and youth, which is why he chose to invest his money to purchase personal computers for Holon’s future generation.
