The Childhood Sounds Festival

The Childhood Sounds Festival, which takes place every year during the intermediate days of Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles) at the Holon Theater, has, since its inception in 2000, offered a variety of musical, dance and theater events designed especially for families and children.

The festival showcases productions created especially for the festival and premieres of children’s shows representing world and Israeli classics in every form of performing art, featuring some of the best creators and performers.

Alongside the great variety of shows, for which admission is charged, the plaza in front of the theater hosts free open-air performances and events, creating a unique festive atmosphere that allows passersby to enjoy the celebration too.

The Childhood Sounds Festival introduces young audiences to the many and varied forms of performing arts and nurtures music education for the very young, out of the belief that exposure to such cultural experiences will mold their future artistic tastes and turn them into consumers of quality art.
